1. BSLC: What are your personal goals for the coming season?
JB: This coming season i hope to help Edinburgh Rugby reach atleast the Heineken Cup semi finals and gain selection for Scotland and win my first cap.
2. BSLC: Were you happy with your and Scotland´s performance in Australia this summer?
JB: Personally i felt i performed very well on tour and continually achieved what was asked of me. In terms of the whole squad, i feel massive steps were made both on and off the pitch and had we not made basic errors against Australia, the results could easily have been two wins. However, the fact those errors were made shows we still have some way to go!
3. BSLC:What are Scotland´s chances for the next 6 Nations Tournament? Can you beat England and France?
JB: Realistically i believe Scotland are capable of beating all the teams in the six nations. Like any sport though it will all depend on form, not too many injuries and a bit of good luck!
4. BSLC: Is Scotland rugby in the right track for the future?
JB: I really feel scotland are on the right track. There are now the correct attitudes and personel in place to produce excellence. Its only a shame assistant coach Todd Blackadder will no longer continue with the coaching (having decided to concentrate on his final playing season with Edinburgh)
5. BSLC: How do you view Browns Sports & Leisure Club facilities, in particular the heavy weight gym?
JB: As a professional rugby player who has used many gyms, I find the heavy weight facility at Browns excellent. Not only does it have all the required weights and machines, its location means you can train without any interruption. Also its close proximity to the track and the pitch mean if you want, you can combine your cardio and heavy weights sessions.
