Sérgio Inácio wins
Browns Open Tennis Tournament 2004 |
Sérgio
Inácio of Carvoeiro Tennis Club won the first Open Tennis Tournament of
the season to be held at Browns Sports & Leisure Club in 2004 on the 17th & 18th
January. |
|
| In the men’s
doubles the match was won by partners Daniel Davis and Sérgio Inácio,
both of the Carvoeiro Tennis Club, they beat Vitor Palma and Ricardo Ribeiro
of Vila Real de Santo António Tennis Club in two sets. |
For two days under the strong winter sun, the athletes played intense tennis throughout
the tournament and nothing diminished the quality of the tennis. Although the
men singles ended with Miguel Rosário retiring with muscle fatigue
thus losing to Sérgio Inácio in one set (6/2).
On behalf of the Browns Sports & Leisure club we would like to congratulate
all the athletes that had participated in the tournament, in particular both
the winners and losers of the finals. In addition Browns would like to thank
the Algarve Tennis Association for their technical supervision in organising
the event.
