Under
the glorious sun on Saturday 4th October Browns Sport and Leisure Club hosted
a field hockey meeting, participated by four teams, Vilamoura Hockey Club ‘A’
& ‘B’ and C.F.U Lamas ‘A’ & ‘B’.
With perfect conditions and a grass
pitch of superb quality some of the Algarve’s finest field hockey action
was evident and Lamas ‘A’ emerged as the victorious winner.
The successful day
ended with all teams attending a Gala dinner and award ceremony at Browns Bar
and Restaurant. Browns wish to thank all those that played and took part in the
hockey meeting and look forward to holding a hockey festival in the near future
with anticipated greater number of teams.
