Established in the Algarve in 1986
as a tennis club, Browns was completely renovated in 2000 as part of a two phase
project to create an exclusive sports training facility in Southern Europe.
The Algarve was selected, particularly, because of its mild climate (similar latitude
to Sicily in Southern Italy) and its accessibility to most European countries.
Browns is 20 minutes from Faro International Airport.
Phase one included the creation
of a 200 sq meter gymnasium with state-of-the-art equipment, 2 fitness studios
and a relaxation suite (sauna, steam massage, etc) to complement the existing
indoor swimming pool. Since its re-launch in July 2000 as a Sports & Leisure
Club, Browns has established itself as the premier club in the Algarve.
Phase two was completed in December
2002. 30 villas with a maximum capacity of 105 athletes in a total area of 53000
sq meters, a grass area of 120 sq meters x 80 sq meters has been created with
the assistance of a specialist company. Ensuring a perfect grass surface with
a complete watering and drainage system. In this phase was also created exclusive
facilities such as: a 150 sq meters gymnasium including heavy weight equipment
and a Restaurant / Conference Room. |
